Website Updates
Today a few small changes have been launched on the website.
First is the creation of a Identification and Classification section (under the “Growing Cymbidiums” menu) to collate all articles discussing the identification of specific plants as well as ongoing taxonomic research. The existing article “A Case of Mistaken Identity”, which looks at some commonly confused species and their primary hybrids, has been moved here. Greig Russell’s article on Cym. zaleskianum has also been added (with his permission), now that the original page is offline.
Second, I have started the process of adding a few more Species Profiles based on the Cymbidium Chatter articles, with Cym. erythrostylum being the first. Cym. aloifolium and hookerianum will follow as soon as I have time. It is my hope that this will become a convenient reference for anyone seeking basic cultural and hybridising information about some of the Cym species.
